Creative Launchpad

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t.

Creative Launchpad is a nonprofit initiative created to change that. We expand access to creativity and design programs for students in grades 3–6, giving them the chance to explore, build, and imagine. Through scholarships, technology awards, and on-demand resources, we help kids see themselves as creators. Not someday, but now.

Our Mission

Expanding Access. Unlocking Potential.

Creative Launchpad is built on a simple belief: every child deserves the chance to discover their creativity. I grew up loving art but was told it wasn’t practical. I didn’t know what a designer was until college, and I’ve never forgotten that gap. Too many kids with talent and curiosity miss out on opportunities because they don’t have access to tools, mentors, or programs that help them grow.

We’re here to change that. We fund scholarships, creative technology, and learning resources that open doors early. Creativity isn’t extra. It’s essential. It builds confidence, sparks innovation, and prepares students with skills that last a lifetime.

How It Works

Programs That Create Access

Creative Launchpad provides tangible, hands-on opportunities for students in grades 3–6, starting in Austin and expanding across Texas. We focus on...

  • Access: Breaking financial barriers to creativity.
  • Exposure: Giving students early access to design and innovation.
  • Inspiration: Connecting them to real-world creative pathways.

What We Fund

  • Camp Scholarships: $600 scholarships fund a week at local design and creativity camps, offering immersive, project-based learning experiences.
  • Student Technology Awards: $400 awards provide laptops or iPads for students who need the right tools to keep creating after camp.
  • On-Demand Resources: Digital tutorials that let kids keep learning and experimenting at home.

How It Works

  • Partner schools nominate eligible students based on need and interest.
  • Scholarships are paid directly to partner camps to ensure access.
  • Technology awards are distributed through schools to students who need devices most.
  • On-demand resources are shared digitally to extend creative exploration.

Why It Matters

The Gap We’re Closing

Texas has no shortage of creative talent. What it lacks is access.

More than 60% of Texas students are economically disadvantaged, and millions miss out on affordable summer learning opportunities each year. At the same time, the state’s creative economy is projected to grow by 22% and add more than 200,000 jobs by 2030.

The demand for design, innovation, and creative problem-solving has never been higher — yet most students never get the chance to explore these pathways.

Creative Launchpad is changing that by expanding early access to creative programs and resources. We treat creativity as essential, not optional — a skill that builds confidence, opens doors, and prepares kids for the future.
